Walking the Line

Style Dilemma: You work Monday through Friday at an office wearing business attire. This entails fitted skirts and slacks, button ups, work dresses, tucked-in blouses, and probably some closed toe heels. After work & on the weekends, you want to dress more comfortably, but your plans involve social interaction with friends/significant others and you want to look put together. What to wear?

I find myself facing this question all the time, but the good news is: I'm not alone! I've found that many of my fellow twenty-something, working girlfriends are faced with the same challenge. Today, I'm especially motivated to write this post because I know there must be options outside of the following combinations: your favorite VS Pink sweats & Ugg boots, Pajama Jeans and Toms, black tights as pants (one of my pet peeves) & Havaianas/Rainbow sandals. Isn't this why elastic waistbands on skirts & dresses were invented? Or platform heels and wedges?

Trust me, girl, we've got some options and here's one:
It can certainly be easy to fall into the bad habit of looking exactly how you feel, but ladies, we can feel that way, but still look great! Life's too short to live it not looking & feeling fabulous!

All you need are the following:
1x maxi skirt
1x loose-fitting top
1x thick elastic belt (this helps bring your outfit together, especially if you tuck in the front of your top like I did)
1x pair of wedges (at a comfortable height for you)
1x big sunglasses (so if you decide on minimal to no eye makeup, you won't have to worry about looking so tired, especially in photos)
1x crossbody (to keep weight distributed more evenly & to allow you to be hands-free)

et...voila! Quick & chic.
