Get the look for less!
This weekend, it was hailing and raining so hard that I was not in much of a mood to go out. However, I did have to make a quick trip out to H&M to return some ill-fitting Marni pieces (sad times). Naturally, I did a *bit* of shopping and may do a "haul" on this blog. Would you be interested in seeing a shopping haul or would you rather just see them on me in an outfit? The reason I ask is because I am always so anxious and excited to show you all what bargain buys (and not so bargain...hehe) I came across and who knows? Maybe you can snag a thing or two if you like my purchases, too. Let me know in the comments below if you might want to see something like that!

As I mentioned in my last post, I will be doing another Battle of the Brands post here today, where I showcase 1 item and tell you where to buy it at a variety of different price points. Today, I am featuring the classic ankle strap platform sandals (as recommended by my friend Ellen H.), and the battle will be very heated today, as the prices range from $995 to $25! I opted for the Olsenboye sandals, as featured in my last post. I could not BELIEVE how comfortable they were! I wore them for 6-7 hours continuously dancing/walking/standing and they did not hurt one bit! I highly recommend them!

Why pay more, when you can get it for less, right?
If you're like me, you might prefer two pairs of shoes totaling $100 as opposed to investing in one pair for $100. Why? Well personally, since I live in Southern California, I *rarely* wear my shoes down to breaking point (I have only done that twice, both with Nine West heels, which I wore less than a dozen times each). I rotate a variety of different pairs and wear each for only a few hours at a time, and even less is spent walking since I mostly drive everywhere. Anyway, that's my rationale for non-work shoes, but I do believe in investing more in staple pieces (especially for work/school) that you find yourself wearing daily.
I hope you found this helpful! Want to read more "Battle of the Brands?" Click here, or here to read past battles. TIP: Always do your research before buying! It might actually pay off, like when I was looking into buying a rose gold watch, I found out that Michael Kors, Fossil, and Relic watches are all manufactured (some are also designed) by Fossil. That was key to helping me decide which watch to buy!
